What else can you tell me about the Training Certification?

You will receive UK Industry recognised Safety Certification

On completion, you will receive an IOSH Working Safely Certificate, a qualification widely recognised as the standard in UK industry.

This certification is designed to demonstrate to employers, the HSE and others that an individual has been suitably trained in recognising and managing risks in the workplace. As a nationally recognised qualification, an IOSH Working Safely certified workforce demonstrates a high level of commitment to safety.

Certified employees will be equipped with the skills and foundational knowledge to work within their industry in a significantly safer manner – reducing accident rates and improving Health and Safety performance within your business.

How is the IOSH Working Safely course  run?

An online eLearning course that you can access anywhere, anytime

This is an eLearning course which is run entirely online, through an internet browser.

Once registered online, with a unique username and password, the user has 6 months to complete the coursework. This can be done at any time, through any internet browser during the 6 months.

The course is split into six learning modules and an assessment. These should be completed in order. Most modules are split into several lessons, with short quizzes following them.

Each lesson and quiz must be completed to gain access to the final assessments.

All coursework can be reviewed and re-done as many times as required – up to the final assessments. The final assessment is comprised of two parts – a hazard spotting exercise and a multiple choice quiz. A suitably high mark must be achieved on each to pass the course. The user has two attempts at each of the final assessments to earn a suitable pass mark.

What are the timescales for the online course?

Coursework timescale and restrictions

Users will have access to the course for 6 months. During this time, they can access the materials at any time, from any computer with internet access and a modern browser.

The user has two attempts at the final assessments for the course. If both attempts are failed then the certificate cannot be earned without re-paying and re-starting the course.
